European fertilizer production association according to the annual output of chemical fertilizer and the consumption of food, development status and cultivation conditions for analysis, making these predictions: for the EU, the next 10 years fertilizer consumption is on the rise, while the potassium and phosphorus decreased.
Association predicts that by 2016, the nitrogen consumption will rise 2.5%, while the consumption of phosphate fertilizer and potash fertilizer is respectively 7.4% and 5.9%. EFMA forecasts that by 2016, to the 15 EU countries the supply of nitrogen fertilizer amount will reach 10700000 tons, phosphate fertilizer will reach 3000000 tons, while the potassium to reached 3500000 tons. Only in Denmark, Austria and Sweden nitrogen fertilizer consumption slightly elevated, and Spain's fertilizer consumption will rise slightly. The overall chemical fertilizer consumption declined.
